• Beyond the Coupon: How to Evaluate a Rapidly Growing Autocallable ETF Category

Autocallable ETFs are one of the fastest-growing segments within the derivative-income landscape, bringing an institutional strategy into a liquid ETF wrapper. But evaluating these strategies requires more than comparing coupon rates.

Join us for an in-depth discussion on the key structural factors that drive outcomes, risk, income consistency, and after-tax results. Learn the framework experienced advisors can use to assess autocallable ETFs and determine their role in client portfolios: www.calamos.com/autocall.

Key Learning Objectives:

  • Look Beyond the Coupon Understand the seven critical questions advisors should ask when evaluating autocallable ETFs, including reference assets, barrier levels, tenor, diversification, valuation methodology, and taxation.
  • Evaluate Risk Through Structure Explore how volatility-targeted indexes, laddered exposure, barrier design, and note tenor can influence income consistency and downside outcomes across varying market environments.
  • Focus on After-Tax Outcomes Learn why after-tax income may be just as important as stated yield and how return-of-capital distributions may affect investor tax treatment and portfolio efficiency.
